Goal

Install a mesh testbed of 30 nodes (fonera based) (zoobab owns 10 of them)
Benefit from the experience acquired during previous battles
longshots: Florenville-Arlon Longshot 36,5km (10 Apr 2003 18:45) - Longshot between Florenville (Waveguide 32slots placed on the church tower) and Arlon (Yagi of XavierVL). Distance 36,5km. Data transfert of 50ko/sec during 5 minutes but we didn't succeed to do the same after, we were quite disapointing... We think that the fresnel zone was not so good to realize a good link. Some pictures here.

Beer

The abbaye of Orval is at 6km from the main city of Florenville, and produces one of the best trappist beer of Belgium, and of the world, since there are few trappists.

Maginot

The Maginot Line was a defense line of France built in the 1930ies between the World War I and World War II. It was easily defeated by the powerful German army at the beginning of the World War II.

It can provide high points with good line of sight for longshots and other wifi and antenna tests.

The Wireless Battle Mesh edition v3.1416 will be held during a 3-day
camp in Florenville, near Orval (South of Belgium).

The Wireless Battle Mesh version 3.1416 aims to test a network of 30
isolated routers with different routing protocols (OLSR, BATMAN, Babel),
in a countryside environnement (cows, trees, pastures, and forests).
