Proposal: Site-visit to LikaNet location
(possibly on Tuesday morning!)
An excursion to the site/location for (the future) LikaNet - in the remote village in Lika, where Vesna has her LikaLodge (and where the ideas for WBM_v18 started - that ended up in Karin, instead!).

This can take half-day, and requires transport by car(s). One-way trip is 1 hour, and return another hour.

Possible activities: visiting the house, speaking to locals, stopping to drink water from the natural (healing!) source, plucking wild fruit; petting local animals... & trekking up the hills to determine line-of-sight for antenna placements, measuring (again!) 4G signal strength, testing equipment...
... with the goal to determine if there are people interested to ACTUALLY build a network here, in 2027+ !
LikaNet is an ongoing and yet unrealized project, to bring "community mesh network" / shared internet connectivity to Gubavcevo Polje (in Lika) , with the goals of rejuvenation & reconnection of the remote rural communities, while following “Environmental Justice in Tech” principles (Limitations / Reparations / Solidarity).
In September 2025, two WBM scouts already visited this location & their findings about 4G were: Best to worse network performing addresses in the village: 30, 27A, 32: 44.34118 15.95020: 12 Mbps download, 0.5 Mbps upload.
